System 2007

Screen Shots

The touch-screen provides the interface to the system.  Inputs are normally a one-touch entry; however if a numeric or text input is required a customized keyboard will appear.  Graphics provide a picture of the blade and fixture, and demonstrate proper setup for balancing.

System 2007

Avion Manufacturing, Inc is the developer, manufacturer and distributor of the Universal Static Balance Fixture (USBF) and the Virtual Master Blade (VMB).  The Avion balancing systems, used to static balance main rotor and tail rotor blades, are proven veterans in the field.

System 2007 – we have delivered 17 new/upgraded systems to the field.  The reports so far are, as we expected, very favorable. Among the comments that we have heard:

- the balance routine is much faster

- displaying the on-screen balance results is a real step forward

- the on-screen set-up graphics are clear and concise

- the improved performance of the position sensors is another plus

- the touch-screen monitor is packed with information and easy to use.

- the mounting arm for the monitor keeps the monitor accessible and readable.

We did have one reported problem.  After a power failure in their facility, a customer reported that their USBF failed to “boot”.  We investigated the problems and determined that several key system files had been corrupted.   We recognized that the additional protection for power failures and power surges may be required for the new Windows-based systems.  We performed some research and located an Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) which we tested and approved for use.  We have shipped a UPS to all System 2007 customers, and all new sales and upgrades will be delivered with a UPS installed.
