Mission Statement: Avion/Avtask will become a world recognized leader in technology insertion providing cost effective solutions to rotor blade maintenance problems.

Avion/Avtask is a combination of two separate organizations and two sets of unique skills sharing a common mission.

Originally formed in 1992, Avion/Avtask developed a device for static balancing helicopter rotor blades. The device has had a major impact on rotor blade maintenance by providing the helicopter user with the ability to repair rotor blades, balance them, and return them to flight status. It has given the user the ability to develop a truly interchangeable fleet of blades and, at the same time, minimize flight test hours required to return those blades to service.

The balance fixture was only the beginning of the innovations that you see at Avion/Avtask today. We believe technology insertion is the key to improving rotor blade life. Avion/Avtask has developed tools to introduce the necessary science into the art of blade repair.

We repair blades for the U.S. Army, Boeing, foreign military, and U.S. commercial customers. Although our initial work was limited to CH-47 blade repair, we are now gaining experience with other main rotor blades including the UH-60 and the Carson S-61 blade.

Avion/Avtask built a facility dedicated to rotor blade repair. The 37,000 sq. ft. facility, located 30 miles west of St. Louis, was designed specifically to support our rotor blade maintenance. Avion/Avtask is an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) firm.

Avion/Avtask has installed a Quality Management System (QMS) which has been certified to ISO 9001:2008, AS9100B:2004, AS9110:2003, and the Boeing Qualiy Management System, Appendix A. The quality of our products and services are reflections of our QMS, a skilled and well-trained work force and our dedication to continual improvement. We have a stable, skilled workforce that makes our system work.
