Universal Static Balance Fixture (USBF)
The Avion fixture for static balancing helicopter rotor blades was originally introduced in 1997 as a tool for evaluating CH-47 rotor blades being returned from Desert Storm I. That effort provided the Army with the key for economical maintenance of their rotor blade fleet. The system has evolved since its original introduction by moving from a tool for evaluating and balancing a single blade to a universal tool capable of adapting to any blade type. Most rotor blades can be evaluated in less that five minutes and balanced within one hour.
The hardware and software have continued to evolve since the original design. Over 50% of the 250 fielded systems have now been upgraded to the current configuration, System 2007. That system provides a standard hardware and software configuration that will be supportable well into the future. The system is accurate, repeatable, and easy-to-use. It provides a kiosk style interface much like the computer systems you see and use at your local bank or grocery store. Performance of the system has exceeded our highest expectations and recieved universal approval by our customers.
We know the equipment we deliver meets our stringent quality requirements, but more importantly, we know the support we provide to our customers is world-class. We have an iron-clad, two year warranty which covers all material and labor costs required to keep your system operating. We respond to all customer complaints within one day of receipt and work to remedy the problem with minimum down time.
