award Sgt. Dwight Kohler from the 160th at Fort Campbell, KY wins a wooden model of a CH-47 Chinook at the 2009 AAAA Conference in Nashville, TN.  
  • Avion/Avtask has developed and delivered a custom fixture for the Republic of Korea to evaluate and balance the KHP/KUH tail rotor blade
  • Avion/Avtask has introduced special tools to improved rotor blade maintenance such as a Trim Tab Bonding Tool, a tool to remove FOD from the CH-47 blade after repair, and special routing fixtures to perform partial depth and full depth core repairs.
  • Avion/Avtask is currently developing a custom fixture for Westland Helicopters in the UK which will support balancing the H-101 blade by paint mapping.
  • Avion/Avtask is serving as a subcontractor to The Boeing Company to perform the front-end of the blade overhaul process to strip and dry CH-47 rotor blades.
  • Avion/Avtask delivered a custom fixture to Carson Helicopters to balance the S-61 tail rotor blade. That development follows a previously successful effort for the S-61 main rotor blade.
  • Avion/Avtask has recently been awarded a contract by the 160th SOAR to repair MH-47 rotor blades.
  • Avion/Avtask has delivered a custom fixture to the Naval Warfare Center to balance the V-22
    proprotor blade.
  • Avion/Avtask has developed material handling equipment used in the repair process to protect the rotor blade and allow movement by one person.
  • Avion/Avtask is currently working on proposals for balancing the S-64 blade, the CH-53 main and tail rotor blade, the CH-46 main rotor blade, and the
  • AH-1 main rotor blade.
  • Avion/Avtask is currently delivering approximately 30 systems for the Apache PM to upgrade fielded USBF systems to the System 2007 configuration. Over 33% of the total inventory of fielded systems is now System 2007 configuration and we expect that number to grow to 70% by the end of 2009.
